Spec Ed Families

Do you have a special needs child in the Carlsbad Unified School District?  Some of us would like to get together on a regular basis to:

  • Talk about things we have in common
  • Brainstorm ideas to make school better for our kids
  • Plan activities for families and kids

Would it help to talk with other parents of special needs children in CUSD?

CUSD End of Year Parent Survey has been Launched

The annual parent survey is available in both English and Spanish. If you have children at more than one site, you are welcome, and encouraged, to complete the survey multiple times.

Vision/ Mission Statement

The primary purpose of the continuation high school at Carlsbad Village Academy is credit recovery. Students who are behind in credits toward graduating with their class may transfer voluntarily to CVA where the trimester schedule allows them to earn 90 credits per year.  Once students have remediated credit deficiencies, they may elect to either return to Carlsbad High School or remain at CVA.
